Electric Cheetah (acai berry): Top notes of raspberry, strawberry, pear and sweet pineapple. Heart notes of classic jasmine, carnation, gardenia and peach mingles with a whisper of musk at the base of the fragrance.

Shadow Tiger (sandalwood): A deep, woody scent and often smells like a mix of floral, rich, balsamic, soft, and sweet accents. One of the special characteristics of sandalwood is that it’s a wonderful base note that complements and enhances other scents.

Lethal Turtle (black spruce): A fresh-balsamic, oily-sweet coniferous aroma, with a fruity-resinous undertone. The effect of the fragrance is calming, clearing and elevating – an excellent essential oil for aerial dispersion and to enhance yoga and meditation.

Drill Skincare wants to offer combat sports enthusiasts a natural soap that provides extra protection against skin infections.

Grappling workouts are particularly susceptible to infection. Skin-to-skin contact, rubbing and scratching promote transmission of the disease.

Tea tree oil is therefore used to help treat infections such as psoriasis, ringworm, athlete’s foot and dandruff. The antibacterial properties of tea tree oil also help fight bacteria.

Tea tree oil is also a powerful natural ingredient known to have antifungal properties that helps fight fungal infections found in gyms.

On average, our soaps last 2-3 weeks with daily use. Longevity differs between households based on a variety of factors, such as the amount of lather, the amount of body hair, the frequency of use, and the water type. We recommend the following three methods if you’re looking to extend the life of your soap.

1. It’s best to store your soap in a place that will allow it to dry out between uses — we recommend using a soap saver, which can usually double the life of our bars.
2. After showering, give your bar a little shake before storing it away on the soap saver, removing any excess water droplets.
3. Use a loofah or shower cloth to create your soap lather, rather than using the bar directly under constant running water. If you don’t have a loofah, a cheap alternative is to use your man beard or any other body hair.

The shelf life for our bars of soap is 24 months. While it could last up to 24 months, we recommend using it prior to that for maximum fragrance. We also recommend storing them in a dry, cool place while not in use.

Gluten-containing skincare products are not known to be harmful to those with gluten intolerance or celiac’s disease unless they are directly ingested.

What a great question! Normal soap is just as effective as antibacterial soap in preventing infection and maintaining good hygiene, even though our soaps are not specifically formulated to be antibacterial. Triclosan, an ingredient found in a variety of body soaps, cleaning products, and toothpastes, is contained in most soaps that are branded as antibacterial. Triclosan is a likely contributor to the development of antibacterial and antibiotic resistance, as well as damaging to the planet!

Did you know that tea tree oil is a popular choice for treating acne because of its anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties. It’s thought to calm redness, swelling, and inflammation. It may even help to prevent and reduce acne scars, leaving you with smooth, clear skin.

Many brand-name “soaps” aren’t soaps at all. If you start looking at the ingredients, you’ll realize they’re much more similar to detergents that you use to wash your laundry or dishes! During the soap-making process, a byproduct is created called glycerin. Large companies, for the sake of mass-production and cost efficiency, will replace glycerin with chemicals. Glycerin is worth more than all those chemicals combined, providing the sought-after soothing and moisturizing properties that you’re looking for in your soap!

Drill Skincare makes soap the old-fashioned way. By cold-processing our soap, the glycerin forms naturally in our bars from plant-derived oils! This means you’re getting a quality product that will help nourish and protect your skin.

Our soap ingredients are natural and safe for skin and hair. All of our bars can be used on the face. While our bars are not formulated or guaranteed to fight against acne, assist psoriasis, or relieve eczema, some of our members have reported positive results.

Body washes usually feel more gentle because they contain emollients; these are the components of body washes that moisturize your skin and serve as replacements for the drying agents used by commercial bar soaps.

But those same emollients also contain chemicals like sodium lauryl sulfate, PEGs, and parabens. Emollients re-moisturize your skin by first pulling out the existing moisture from beneath your skin, which can be damaging in the long-term!

Our natural, cold-processed bar soap hydrates and cleanses the skin without use of harsh chemicals or synthetic skin softeners like those found in many body washes. We also use natural emollients like green clay and shea butter; these ingredients help you maintain all of the moisture produced by your skin, instead of using chemicals that “re-moisturize” your skin and strip it of the natural oils that help produce that moisture in the first place.

Lye is an essential ingredient in all handmade, cold processed soaps. It is the catalyst that turns the liquid vegetable oils we use (olive, coconut, etc) into the hardened product. At the end of the soap making process, due to the reaction, there is actually no lye left in the final product.

We include lye in the ingredients section of our soap bars to be completely transparent on how we craft our soap. If you see any lye-free soaps out there, they are either made out of alternative chemicals or they are just saying that because there is no lye in the final product.

To summarize, our soaps are 100% vegetable based and there is no lye in the final product.
